Really Good Dumbbells But These Injure Me TooJul 12, 2010
Last Summer I strained my rotator cuff after swimming every day and using a ton of swimming gadgets to enhance the experience. Injuring your rotator cuff (shoulder) is not something you want to do. It is very painful and it is difficult to heal. I went BACK to using my original dumb bells this summer, the ones shown here. For a month and a half I was fine and then strained both my neck, my left shoulder, and rotator cuff. I used these when I was in my 30s and 40s with no problem. They were great. So I am going to say these are very good if you are in your 30s or 40s. However, if you are 60 or above, skip using this or any other dumbbell. The risks of straining something are just too high.

I've been using my delta bells for the past few months and I saw results in upper body strength within the first two weeks. It makes swimming more fun. I also do aqua aerobics with them. I really like this tool! Unfortunately, my cats do too, so I have little teethmarks in them...but it hasn't affected their buouyancy at all and now I keep them n the garage away from sharp little teeth....

This item never shipped and there is no explanation. After two weeks of waiting I was told it was cancelled. I don't think this vendor is reliable.

I use these in the pool three times a week. I can already see a difference in my upper arms and chest.

I had been doing exercises in our pool without the deltabells for many years. Since purchasing them, my workouts have improved and intensified. They have improved my upper body strength and have made me feel great. I love them! The medium resistance is just perfect for me.
