less than expectedJul 16, 2010 Audible hum obscures subject's voice. Studio tech attributes to poor cable sheathing or ground fault -- either way, device simply not usable for good quality video projects. Disappointing offering from good company.
Good valueJul 02, 2010 This mic performs well for the price tag. My only issue is sometimes the foam on the mic head falls off easily. Other than that, this is a great little mic!
This mic isn't worth a dollarMay 30, 2010 I tried this mic and it was terrible. The volume was very low, when you try to increase the volume you get a lot of white noise. Save your money, don't buy this product. I wish i could give it half of a star.
weak!Apr 20, 2010 Very disappointed with this mic after reading so many positive reviews. Clipped to a shirt, even high up, it is not strong enough to get a good signal. You have to hold this mic up close to your mouth like a tiny handheld mic to get good clean sound.
Cheap and Eager to Please!Apr 07, 2010 I was wary of buying this mic because it is so inexpensive and I needed it for professional radio field reporting, but I am a believer now! It is easy to use, gives great sound and has exceptional range and omni-directional pickup. It goes everywhere with me now and, while I was also leery of it's untra-thin cord, many people have stepped on it and there has been so diminution in sound quality. The built-in mini-plug was a problem, but my enginer clipped that off and installed a standard male-XLR plug and it works great with my Marantz recorder. There's a small drawback, in that I can't use phantom power, but that is nothing compared to the convenience of having this mic in my bag. If you don't yet have a good lav, get this one...I promise you'll love it!
