 Perfect for home PC protection!!Jun 12, 2010
I bought this surge protector looking for an affordable solution to protect my home PC and periphial equipment. 8 outlet available fit my needs perfectly. The protector can actually be mounted to the wall behind my PC desk, which saves me floor space and allows for the wiring to be organized. Tremendous value for a brand name product!!!

The 8 outlet are spacious apart so I can plug various devices. There was lot of dust when I opened the package, made me feel that perhaps I got a 'used' or 'not so new' item but overall am happy with the product.
Extended cord is a plus. However, I had bought thinking I could use the Phone/Coaxial slot for protection but haven't so far.
Am not sure about the warranty nor the claims made by the manufacturer but Belkin is a recognized name and I feel comfortable purchasing this.

I needed a protector with a longer cord. This was advertised as a ten foot cord but it actually has a 12 ft cord which is ok also. Now I don't have to worry about tripping over a short cord as i can route this one safely out of the way.

With any surge protector no one ever knows how capable it will function until there is a power increase. This unit is miniature in size compared to some with the same 8 power connections and the included cable management clip is beneficial for keeping wires organized. The "not grounded" red light is a good accessory that will warn you if the unit is not properly grounded. The "Protected" green light provides confidence that the surge protector is operating correctly. The ten foot power cord and the 90 degree plug allows you to install-it into a 4-plug wall outlet effortlessly. At the outset I indicated there is no way to truly rate a surge protector......until it is put to the supreme test. But just knowing it is installed, this surge protector should give everyone a little "Peace of Mind".

When my old Belkin surge protector broke down (which was completely from my own fault), Belkin shipped me a new one at no cost. That level of customer service made me turn a blind eye to all other manufacturers when I needed a second surge protector--I knew my next one would have to come from Belkin. This product is an excellent model, which I purchased for $23. I have owned it for 3 months, and have had absolutely no problem whatsoever. I have it mounted upside down to the underside of my desk. Its thin profile and wire clamps have been excellent for getting all those ugly computer cords out of sight. This surge protector has 8 power connections, an A/V co-axial in and out, and a telephone line in and 2 outs (splits the line). There is no ethernet connection. There are screwholes on the back if you want to mount it on the wall or under your desk. The very minor design flaw is that the holes will only accept very small screwheads--I wish they could be a little bigger. Other than that, it is a very solid product. You cannot ask for more from a surge protector.
