 Good protectionAug 19, 2010
I am buying my second one of these cases in a year. I beat the hell out of my phone and this case has protected it from drops, falls and geting beat up in my pocket. the first one i got with the phone and lasted longer than i expected. the only problem with the case is that its hard to reach the letters on the right and left side of the screen when texting. if you need a case that will give some protection for the phone and screen this is the right case for you.

I've had this case for approximately eight months. Initially, the velcro clasp was great, but after about six months, the soft part of the velcro became frayed and won't hold the hooks anymore. Also, the velcro hooks unraveled some of the white stitching in the vicinity of the clasp. Also, the case gripped my iphone tightly in the initial months. Now my phone easily slides out of the case.
Despite the case being "too" broken in, it's stylish and covers most of the phone. I've perfected my wrist snap for closing the top cover of the case. The home key and volume buttons are easy to depress through the case. I usually remove my phone when snapping pictures since it's difficult to hold up the top cover and phone while pressing the shutter button at the same time. Also, the part of the case that surrounds the screen is thick and raised which sometimes makes it difficult to tap keys at the outside edges of the screen (e.g. the "p" and the "q" of the keyboard).
Overall, I rate this case a 3.
Attractive and practical protection for the "iPhone"Apr 22, 2010
I purchased a "Belkin Leather Flip Case" for my new "iPhone" and it is terrific. The case is doing a great job protecting the phone and, at the same time, it's an attractive, elegant case, so I have no qualms about having the case on my desk or on a table at business and professional events, meetings, etc. This is a great product.

I've been using this case for a couple of months now and I am very satisfied. I bought two cases at the AT&T store before this, both of them functionless junk and a waste of money. I've learned that a case without a cover is worthless as my screen was getting scratched. This Belkin one is what I should have gotten in the first place. Now I have excellent protection from everyday wear and from dropping it. It is comfortable in my hand and the flip cover gets out of the way no problem when I need to use the phone. My one piece of advice is to make sure you have your phone sitting all the way in and perfectly straight in the case from the time you put it in. I wasn't careful about this and as the leather softened I found my phone was leaning slightly off to the right so that the screen opening was a little off kilter. It drove me crazy. I had to finagle around with the leather and the phone position over a couple of weeks to get it straightened out again. It's fine now and overall I am really happy with this case.
