This survived a trip through my washer!!!Jul 09, 2010 I've tried em all. Jabra, Motorola, Jawbone and Plantronics. This one works better than them all. Its comfortable, loud and the voice activation works amazingly well. I was a little skeptical at first but i was extremely happy with the performance. But...that's not why i'm here. I had no intention of creating a review for this because it had enough reviews. However, that all changed because of what happened this past weekend. Because this thing is so small, i accidentally left it in my shirt pocket and threw my shirt into the hamper. When laundry time came around i threw the shirt with the headset into the laundry not realizing what i had just done. I only realized my mistake when i went to the washer after the cycle and was putting the clothes into the dryer i saw the device in the bottom of the wash bin. Boy was i sad and a little angry at what i had done. However, upon further inspection it still appeared to be in perfect brand new condition with no visual damage whatsoever. So i left it on my desk for about a week to dry off and decided to plug it in and give it a charge a few days ago. To my surprise, the light turned red signaling that it was charging. So i laughed and decided to wait things out. After a couple hours i fired it up and hit the button and i heard the words "say a command". Still a little skeptical i told it "am i connected". Then it said..."attempting to connect......your phone is connected." At that moment my jaw dropped and i have since decided to become a Blue Ant user for life. I used it in a 60 minute conference call this morning and it was as if nothing changed. I seriously think they should market this device as water resistant. I would not hesitate to wear this in the rain...i have that much faith in it.
BlueAnt does it againJul 07, 2010 The BlueAnt V1 Headset is great I like both it's size, appearance and it's excellent sound quality. It is the perfect headset.
Poor sound quality, Poor voice isolationJun 29, 2010 After reading the reviews on Amazon I thought this headset was a sure win. However, once I got the device, and used it in a noisy environment (walking outside & airports) I discovered that the headset wasn't all it is made out to be. When being used in a quiet environment people could hear me very well; however, when used in a noisy environment, even with noise isolation set to MAX, I was frequently drowned out and listeners complained of noise artifacts garbling my voice. My other issue with this device is that it seems the speaker EQ is set a little bass heavy. So people are very hard to hear as their voices are artificially deep. I'll admit that my hearing isn't the best, but I do not experience this issue with my new Plantronics 975.
I was using this headset with a Motorola Droid, and it is possible that the unit I got was defective as my issues do not seem to be prevalent with other users.
One thing I discovered while using this device is that there is little need for the ear loop, especially when using it in conjunction with the Comply foam tips. However, the tie clip that holds the ear piece does create a strange fit holding the device away from your face awkwardly. Luckily the tie clip is easily removed with a paper clip. Simply push the pin out that holds the clip and viola it comes right off with no damage to the headset!

Very disappointedJun 25, 2010 Controls are nearly impossible to use. If you are male, or have big hands, the volume controls cannot be found while talking. Microphone is poor unless on the voice isolation "max" setting which it only lets you activate while you are in the middle of a call. And the voice isolation button is the same button you use to hang up. You have a 50% chance of dropping your call every time you try it.
Luckily, the poorly designed ear loop snapped off after about 6 months of normal use. I got to throw it in the trash and get something less frustrating to use.
okJun 17, 2010 I have to adjust the position of the device many times as the sound is not clear for other
