Best wireless security camera systemJul 23, 2010 If your looking for a baby monitor/home surveillance system and don't want to hard wire your home, this is the best I have seen. The camera gives an excellent picture even in dark rooms. The audio sensitivity is adjustable and the portable hand held monitor can alert you even with the volume turned off. Easily moved to anywhere you want a camera.
I have seen a few bad reviews from people using it as a baby monitor regarding the alert chime not going off when the baby cries, when they had the volume turned off, or not overcoming the squelch with the volume on. This is because the audio sensitivity on the side of the camera in question needs to be turned all the way up if you want to hear everything. The monitor has no control over this.
They make an outdoor camera also, too bad its not waterproof (what were they thinking) However these portable cameras can be placed in a window.
Great Stand alone camera but problems with 2 cameras attached...Jun 09, 2010 I purchased this unit as an addition to our existing camera to monitor our 2nd child. Both cameras work great as stand alone without any issues! The pairing of the 2nd camera was easy and worked as expected but problems with lost signals seems to happen frequently.
At random times during the day, we lose the signal from one of the monitors (camera1 or camera2) but not both. There is no pattern to the lost signal and it seems to happen at random. We do have the monitor connected and displayed on the TV so we are in process of disconnecting the TV to see if there are issues with that connection. We're also going to see about pairing on a different channel to see if that works but for now this product does not meet our expectations for 2 cameras being used.
