A Better Pillow SpeakerJun 16, 2010 I have been using pillow speakers made by a well known company for many years. They invarably break down due to the weak connection between the wire and the speaker. This appears to be of superior construction and I expect it should last a long time.
pretty goodMay 07, 2010 Wish it had a volume control but otherwise happy with the product. Well constructed - dropped it on the floor a couple of time without any damage.
olderdog2000May 06, 2010 Sound is good. Not as compact as my former pillow speaker. Adjustable sound control on speaker would be a plus. Appears very durable.

My insomnia cureMar 13, 2010 This is a first-rate product that allows me to listen to music and not wake up my spouse. The sound quality is what one would expect from such a product and the lowish fidelity is not an issue for me. The other part of my insomnia cure is to listen to railroad sounds and,for that purpose, this product is more than adequate.

Speaker: Enjoyed By Man And DogFeb 26, 2010 The Sangean Pillow Speaker does what it was designed to do: provide sound from a small source that can be placed under a pillow so it can only be heard by someone with his or her head on the pillow.
It has the following drawbacks: (1) It is somewhat large, compared with other pillow speakers and (2) the volume control is limited to off, somewhat loud and somewhat louder. More variation on the soft end of the scale would be appreciated.
In additon, my five month old pug puppy, Stanley, likes the speaker even more than I do. When I didn't turn it off during the day, Stanley apparently heard noise coming from it. He then figured out how to jump up on the bed and pull the speaker out from under the pillow. Next he chewed on the small connecting wire until it broke-- thus silencing the speaker. Stanley's next step was to take the speaker and hide it in his secret hiding place. I am now on my third Sangean Pillow Speaker (I turn it off each morning)--- the other two belong to Stanley.)
